Cireco are delighted to be working in partnership with Fife Council, Zero Waste Scotland and Yes Recycling to accept flexible plastic and film at our Dunfermline plant. Yes Recycling in Glenrothes will recycle these plastics into Ecosheet – a plywood alternative that can be used in construction, DIY, agriculture, and fabrication. We are already processing flexible plastics from Fife Council’s recycling bins.
Robin Baird, Chief Executive Officer for Cireco Scotland LLP said “Cireco are unique in its ability to accept and segregate for onward recycling all flexible plastics and films, from sauce sachets and bread bags to food wrappers and all plastic wrapping.
We’re delighted that our MRF provides our customers with the opportunity to show their green credentials and lower their resource disposal costs by recycling even more of their waste. This is further evidence that Cireco is the leading resource management company in Scotland.”
Jan Wincott, Cireco Board Chair said “Cireco are very pleased to accept flexible plastics. Through this partnership Cireco are showing their commitment to the Circular Economy. We are cutting carbon, taking climate change seriously and providing a valuable outlet for flexible plastics for our customers.“
